A Place to Live and Curate Pastries

Date

December 2024

Location

New York City

Michael Pintar reimagines a Mille Feuille pastry as a livable interior in "A Place to Live and Curate Pastries." This conceptual project transforms a spacious New York City apartment into a bespoke environment featuring three additional rooms, each tailored to the client's unique needs. The design deconstructs the pastry into its fundamental elements: layers, cream, and airiness. These qualities are translated into soft, undulating architectural forms that envelop the space. At the heart of the design are three curated spaces: a pastry curation room, a culinary experience room, and a meditation room—each essential to the client’s lifestyle and the project’s narrative.
